David “Woodstock” Andrew Pierce, 60, of Bastrop, TX, passed away August 15, 2021. David was born in Nelsonville, Ohio on December 4, 1960, to Raymond “Duke” Andrew Pierce and Betty Marie Pierce (Burnam). He moved to Texas, when his dad was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Taylor County, just outside of Abilene, TX. He graduated from Clyde High School as a member of the National Honors Society and received a basketball scholarship but unfortunately, injured his shoulder while playing football senior year and was unable to play when basketball season started. He was a member of the Booze Fighters Motorcycle Club and loved motorcycling, live music, camping at the river and coast, and having endless fun with family and friends.

“I’m not here for a long time, I’m here for a good time.”

David was proceeded in death by his Father Raymond Pierce, Uncle Jimmy Burnam and Nephew Billy Pierce.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children; Daughter Maranda Freeman (Pierce) and Husband Jacob of Conroe, TX; Son Casey Pierce and Wife Kelly of Bastrop, TX; Mother Betty Pierce of Abilene, TX; Granddaughter Savannah Freeman; 3 brothers, 4 nieces, 2 nephews, and numerous cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 28th, at Ronnie’s One Oak. 816 FM 1441, Bastrop, TX 78602

Celebration starts at 4pm but you can come at any time. BBQ Buffet will be open from 5-7pm and live music will go on at 8pm.
