Deborah Teer

Debbie Elaine Lacy Teer, 68, of Lake Kiowa, TX, met her savior in heaven on September 21, 2022.   She was born to parents Charlie Lacy and Jackie Lacy, on April 1, 1954 in Odessa, TX.  She was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her passing.

Debbie is survived by: son; Westbrook Teer, his wife, Leah of Lake Kiowa; grandchildren: Lily and Colton Teer; brother: Charles Lacy, sister: Karen Jackson; nieces: Jennifer Lacy and Stefani Dulock, and nephew: Jake Jackson.

Upon graduating from Permian High School in 1972,  Debbie held numerous school records in track and field.  She also participated in softball, volleyball, and barrel racing.

As a woman-owned business owner in the late 1980’s, Debbie was a pioneer.  She transitioned into real estate, working for REMAX and VRM, as well as other ventures.  She was a first-class professional.

Debbie had a passion for life, family, golf, and travel. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister,  and friend.  She was actively involved in every community that she has lived in.  Her time in The Colony, TX, was spent as a loving mother, baseball coach, soccer mom, and host of outrageous Halloween parties.  In Coppell, TX, when not running her business, her time was spent as a part of the Coppell Exchange Club, local chamber of commerce, and planning multiple community events, such as fairs and 4th of July parades.

She found her forever home when she moved to Lake Kiowa.  Her later years were spent loving her grandchildren, supporting Home Hospice, helping to organize golf tournaments, and hosting the weekly poker games.  To know Debbie was to be loved by her.  Debbie’s infectious smile, sense of humor, faith in God, and generous spirit made her someone you wanted to not only be around, but have in your life.  Debbie was a fighter, full of life and extended compassion freely to help others in anyone she could.   She lived each day to the fullest. Debbie left her mark on every room she entered, and her life will continue to impact those that knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for October 16, 2022 at the Lake Kiowa Lodge Pavilion with Pastor James Reid officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Hospice of Gainesville or Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
