Quay, Debra Lee “Debbie”, age 64, of Round Rock, TX peacefully passed away at home on
December 29, 2021. Debbie was born in Massachusetts to Matthew S. Quay and Martha Jane
Krugh, both deceased. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Arne Astad and
daughter Emma Astad, both of Round Rock, TX; brother Bret Quay of Matfield Green, KS; and
sisters Valerie Quay of Austin, TX, Pandora Napoli (Robert) of Wilmette, IL and Susan Greb
(Edward) of Round Rock, TX; nieces Megan Carson (Forthe), Christina Napoli, Halle Storbakken,
Becca Napoli, Hannah Greb, and nephew Matthew Greb.
Debbie always put the needs of others before herself in everything she did. Her steadfast and
selfless love to her family and friends will never be forgotten. Her daughter Emma was and
always will be the light of her life. Debbie knew no stranger and her kindness touched anyone
who crossed her path. Her strong faith inspired those around her and her dry wit never failed to
entertain. Debbie found great contentment in life’s little things and was always satisfied with
what she had. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, winning at yahtzee,
reading, and spoiling her chocolate lab, Gracie.
She graduated from Eisenhower H.S. in Lawton, OK, Clarion University in PA, and later achieved
her MBA from Texas State University. Debbie started her career at NCR in Dayton, OH before
having a long and rewarding career as an IT systems analyst and later retired after working
many years for the State of Texas.
A memorial and celebration of life are planned for January 29, 2022 at HighPointe Estate, 5555
Co Rd 258, Liberty Hill, TX 78642 from 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be
