Jessica James Metz

Jessica James Metz, 43, born in Sanford, Maine August 28, 1979 died on November 10, 2022 quietly in her home. She was predeceased by her parents, Joanne Metz and Thomas James Metz, and her grandmother, Yiayia, Katherine Caramihalis with whom she was very close.
She attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia on a full scholarship and received an Associates Degree in Photographic Arts. She also received a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Maine.
She loved to make jewelry, to write poetry, to repurpose art and was an excellent photographer. Her greatest joy was traveling. She is survived by her brother, Thom and many cousins, aunts and uncles. She was also deeply loved by her adopted mother, Sally Stoddard.
Her home was a beautiful sanctuary of comfort suffused with her creativity. She adored her cat, Squokins. Her creative spirit will be greatly missed.
