Joe A. Davis, Jr. passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020 in Austin, Texas.
Joe made Austin, TX his home for over 30 years. He had a life-long passion for writing and was a published author. In addition to writing, his other great passion was music. Joe’s sentiments shone through in his raw and honest written lyrics and music composition.
Joe held a Master’s of Liberal Arts with a concentration of Social Sciences from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX, Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Studies from University of Texas in Austin, TX. He also held a certificate of Paralegal Studies.
Joe is loved by many and will be forever missed.
Joe is survived by his children, Roland Davis of Salem, OR and Azure Davis of Durham, NC; his mother Rebecca S. Davis of Canton, MS; his sisters, Tina D. Brown of Brandon, MS and Teresa D. Thomann (and husband Danny) of Austin, TX; and 5 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe A. Davis, Sr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
