Leticia “Letty” Leal, age 60, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at her home in Kyle, Texas. She was born July 6, 1960, to Lupe and Rebecca Leal. Raised in Brownsville, she was a graduate of Villa Maria High School, and later received her Bachelors of Education from the University of Texas at Brownsville.
For over 2 decades she worked as a teacher at BISD, educating elementary students. She was an avid member of the Iglesia Emanuel Presbiteriana. She enjoyed fun risk-based games, such as maquinitas, and traveling and exploring the local landscape of Texas.
She is preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe Leal, and mother, Rebecca Olga Lopez Leal.
She is survived by her husband, Abel V. Guerrero, daughter and son-in-law, Risa Lilliana Ramirez-Matos & Caleb Matos, and grandchildren, Hunter Asa & Emily Anne Matos.
