Services for Robert D. Scheel will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 2 pm at Bay Area Community of Christ, 240 Travis, Webster, Texas 77498. His family welcomes old and new friends to attend.
Robert was born on November 9, 1951 in Galveston, Texas, to Rose Obenauer Scheel and Gilbert Henry Scheel, Jr. He died March 20, 2022 in Clear Lake, Texas.
Robert is survived by his ex-wife Debbie Scheel, sister Rosanne Duke, daughter Kristin Scheel Downes, son Ryan Scheel, nephews Trey Duke and Brandon Duke, and grand-daughter Annika Ruth Downes.
The family is grateful to Russell A. Hall, Robert’s friend of 60 years, and the Bay Area Community of Christ for their loving presence with Robert and family in his last days.
Robert’s death will reunite family and friends in Galveston, Texas after a long, strange time.
