Todd Arthur Skiba, youngest son of the late Jack and Joyce Skiba, passed away at his home in Austin, Texas, on February 4, 2021, after a long illness. Todd was born October 22, 1958, in Racine, Wisconsin but the family soon moved to Whittier, California where they remained for seven years.

In 1964 a move was made to Paducah, Kentucky where he attended Concord Elementary School until 1969, when the family returned to Racine. He attended Case High School graduating in 1976. After attending Parkside Community College, Todd moved to Louisiana where he worked on yachts in a family owned business. It was here he met his future wife, Andrea Duplantis. They married in Covington, Louisiana, in 1981.Todd continued his education at Northshore Technical College in Hammond and earned a degree in Applied Science in Technical Studies. His career choice led him eventually to a tech position at Bell and Howell, and found himself moving to Baton Rouge, then Las Vegas, Nevada. He moved with the company to San Angelo, Texas and finally to Austin, where he remained until his death.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Andrea Duplantis Skiba and his older brother John William (Skipper) Skiba. Todd is survived by his two sisters, Susan Skiba Parotti of Abaco, Bahamas and Sally Skiba Bartle of Bush, Louisiana, their husbands, Michael Parotti and Philip Bartle, a niece, Jillian Parotti, a nephew Sean Bartle and grandnephew, Max Large. He will be missed by his cousins in Las Vegas; Kyle Zemp and Kristen Hansen and in San Jose, California, his aunt Carol Watt and first cousins Colleen McFarland, Jeffrey, Jack, and John Watt. Also, in Louisiana, his in-law’s Maury Duplantis and Susie Duplantis Fortier Hodges.

Todd will be remembered for his kind heart and easy-going disposition. He had many well-loved friends scattered around the country…a testimony to his strong character and loyalty. He loved baseball, especially his Cubs, and even tried out for the Braves when they were based in Milwaukee. A coin and baseball card collector, Todd enjoyed having a fish tank and feline friends.
