William “Bill” Fosheé

I am saddened to share that my brother Bill Fosheé passed away suddenly December 24th, 2021. He was working doing what he loved at Lake Travis as a captain and sailing instructor. Many people knew and loved Bill. His enthusiasm and positivity will be missed. He had a big laugh, a generous spirit and a great sense of adventure. He enjoyed outdoor activities and loved camping, snow skiing, scuba diving, and sailing. Bill grew up in Dallas. He was a gifted musician who began studying piano at an early age. He went on to play keyboards professionally with several bands and also worked as a recording engineer at Sumet-Burnet Studios. Bill began scuba diving and became a PADI dive instructor who organized dive trips to Costa Rica, Belize and the Cayman Islands. He joined the Texas Sailing Crew in Austin in 2002. He achieved his US Sailing Basic Keelboat Instructor rating in 2007. Bill loved being a part of the Texas Sailing and Lakeway community. He had many lifelong friends and always kept in touch with them. Bill was a happy “glass is half full” person who would definitely want his life to be celebrated with good cheer and fond remembrances.
